Barnes & Noble Rebrand
(OBJECTIVE)
Find a dead, dying, or defunct brand. Investigate the brand’s history and target audience, and analyze the brand’s soul.
Create a new visual direction and completely revive the brand.
(APPROACH)
I chose to rebrand Barnes & Noble. My design approach
focused on coming up with a new logo that is simple yet has
strong visuals and also represents the brand’s purpose
and values. The new identity was based on the brand keyword
“Communities”. Barnes & Noble believes knowledge is
what connects people and we build communities to bring
people together.
